What I'm reading: The money book for the young fabulous & broke

From Suze Orman's The Money Book for the Young Fabulous & Broke:
I heard Suze speak yesterday at Borders, and she had some great advice! This new book details some practical financial plans for 25-35 year olds, and has an accompaning website.
  • Savings bond calculator
  • Auto dealer incentive info: www.carsdirect.com or www.edmunds.com (invoice price - manufacturer incentives/holdbacks, out-the-door price)
  • Play house: determine desired monthly mortage payment, add 40% (property taxes, insurance, PMI, maintenance costs), subtract your monthly rent payment, save the blanace for no less than six months
  • Roll PMI into the mortgage: ~$43 per $100,000.
